Engaging and serving our community isn't just something we do. It's who we are at Holy Redeemer.
Our church takes seriously Jesus' call to be His hands and feet in the world. Our congregation is full of people who are commited to spreading the love and joy of Christ in our community. We are people who are always pointed outward and are always extending our talents, time and treasures to help others experience the grace we've all received from Christ.
Throughout the year, our congregation is involved in service projects around the community and actively live out the love of God to all we meet. We emphasize both young and old serving together to participate with what God is up to in our world. Below is a list of a few of the programs we are involved in at our community:

Upcoming Community Engagement Events
Drop a Quarter...and Change a Life!
Due to overwhelming participation and positive member feedback, Holy Redeemer will again partner with Take Away Hunger (TAH) on September 9, 2018. TAH is an Iowa based food relief organization that unifies teams of people who package a specialized rice based soy casserole mixture which is used locally and overseas.
In 2017 members of all ages came together to assemble over 9,500 meals for people in need!
For 25 cents we can purchase and assemble a nutritious meal for a family of six!
Please help us jump start our fundraising for this vital outreach by dropping your quarters in the quarter tube in the narthex.
Mission of Hope
On the 3rd Thursday of every month, we provide a meal for the people at the Mission of Hope. The Mission of Hope is a fantastic organization that we are happy to partner with. We make the meal at church and then serve a delicious meal to around 180 people every month.
Habitat for Humanity
Every summer we participate in a Habitat Build and have numerous people from our congregation helping to build a home for a Habitat family.
Additionally, throughout the year, our ladies from Holy Redeemer provide a beautiful quilt for every new Habitat homeowner. It's so powerful to hand those quilts over to the famililes at their home dedication and pray with them that God continues to shower His many blessings upon them and their children at their new home.
