We believe that we are saved by God's grace. At Holy Redeemer, that is our foundation and starting point. We confess our brokenness but also proclaim the gift of grace and forgiveness given to all of us by Jesus. We come to worship to hear and experience that grace we receive from Christ.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God." -Ephesians 2:8
We believe God opens His arms and love to all. Thus, we, as a congregation, strive to be a community who is radically inclusive and welcoming for all people. All are welcome in God's house and we invite you to come as you are.
"If anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation. Everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!" -2 Corinthians 5:17
We believe all people have gifts and talents for ministry. We are a lively, fun congregation committed to being "Church Together." We continue to be people who live our faith OUT LOUD. We are not a congregation of one but of many who are actively participating in what God is doing in our community. Service isn't just something we talk about; it's something that throughout the year we are putting into action.
"You are the light of the world..Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to God." -Matthew 5:16
We believe God is active and present in worship. We experience God in worship through Word and Sacrament. In the waters of our Baptism, we receive the Holy Spirit and are claimed as a child of God forever. At Holy Redeemer, we have Holy Communion every week and practice open communion. We believe that all who come to the Table are fed and experience Christ. Gathered together, we discern where God is moving us and calling us as individuals and as a community.
"We have been buried with him by baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life." -Romans 6:4
We believe God is moving and working beyond the church walls and beyond Sunday mornings. At Holy Redeemer, we teach and preach for folks to bring Christ with us not just on Sundays but on every single day of the week. Monday-Saturday our community brings Christ into our homes, communities, schools, and workplaces.
"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your might. Keep these words. Recite them at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise." -Deuteronomy 6: 5-7
